A Letter from Nashville re. Opportunitie$ to Win Cash, Recognition, and...

Hi,

I'm emailing to let you know that the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is accepting entries for 2005. The deadline for entries is quickly approaching on October 14, 2005.

I hope that The Jazz Society of the Philippines will help post or circulate information from the press release below and let the jazz musicians in your community know about our Jazz category. ISC recognizes the significance of jazz, from traditional to contemporary, and wants to acknowledge songwriters in this genre and give them the recognition and exposure they deserve.
[webmaster’s boldfacing]

ISC also has two additional categories that may be of particular interest
to jazz artists: an Instrumental category that include all genres of
instrumental music (including jazz) and a Performance category that is
based not only on songwriting but also on the overall delivery of the song.
Entries are judged by influential jazz artists and industry professionals
within the music community, including Sonny Rollins, John Scofield, Steve
Vai, and Glen Barros (President of Concord Records, one of the most
prestigious jazz record labels). Past judges have included Pat Metheny,
Branford Marsalis, Arif Mardin (Producer and VP of Manhattan Records) and Bruce Lundvall (President of Blue Note and Capitol Records Jazz Classics).

I thank you in advance for your support and assistance in informing the
jazz community about our 2005 competition. Please let me know if you are
interested in a banner trade or other cross-promotion and marketing
opportunities with ISC. We would be happy to partner with you.

Please feel free to pass this information onto anyone you think would be
interested in ISC.

Sincerely,
June Koh

If you know of any talented songwriter or jazz composer who does not have access to an Internet computer, please get this information to the individual!
